Avocademy (UI/UX Design Course)
My Role
As an Avocademy mentor, my role was to provide personalized guidance and support to students enrolled in UI/UX Design Course. I helped students understand complex concepts, overcome challenges, and achieve their learning objectives. Through one-on-one sessions, feedback on assignments, and constructive discussions, I created a collaborative and enriching learning environment where students felt empowered to explore their passions and pursue their career aspirations with confidence.
App Design Example (UI/UX)
As a mentor specializing in UX design at Avocademy, I focused guiding students during the prototyping stage of their projects. During this phase, I worked closely with students to translate their research findings and conceptual ideas into tangible prototypes. Through one-on-one sessions and interactive workshops, I assisted students in selecting appropriate prototyping tools, refining interface layouts, and creating interactive mockups that accurately represent the user experience. By providing targeted feedback and guidance at this critical stage, I helped students iterate on their designs, address usability issues, and ultimately develop high-fidelity prototypes that align with user needs and project objectives.

I supported students in designing wireframes across various fidelity levels, guiding them from low fidelity to medium fidelity and ultimately to high fidelity. In the initial stages, I assisted students in creating low-fidelity wireframes, focusing on basic layout structures and content organization to outline the user experience. As students progressed, I helped them refine their wireframes to medium fidelity, incorporating more detailed design elements, such as navigation menus and placeholder content, to enhance usability and clarity. Finally, I mentored students in elevating their wireframes to high fidelity by adding polished visual elements, branding assets, and interactive components, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user interface. Through personalized feedback and guidance at each stage, I empowered students to develop comprehensive and user-centered designs that effectively addressed project goals and user needs.
Personal Growth Through Mentorship
Working as a mentor for Avocademy was instrumental in deepening my understanding of the UX design process in several ways:
Teaching Reinforced Learning: Guiding students through the various stages of the UX design process allowed me to reinforce my own understanding of key concepts and methodologies. Explaining complex topics to others required a deep comprehension of the subject matter, leading to greater mastery of UX design principles.
Exposure to Diverse Projects: Mentoring provided me with the opportunity to work with students from different backgrounds and industries, exposing me to a wide range of design challenges and project requirements. This diversity enhanced my problem-solving skills and enabled me to approach design problems from multiple perspectives.
Hands-on Experience: Actively engaging with students to provide feedback, suggestions, and solutions to design problems allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. This hands-on experience honed my practical skills and decision-making abilities.
Continuous Learning: The field of UX design is constantly evolving, with new tools, techniques, and trends emerging regularly. By staying engaged as a mentor, I remained immersed in the latest developments in the industry and had the opportunity to continuously expand my knowledge and expertise.
Collaboration and Networking: Mentoring involved collaborating with other mentors, students, and industry professionals, fostering a supportive learning community. Through these interactions, I gained valuable insights, exchanged ideas, and built connections with fellow designers, further enriching my understanding of the UX design process.
Overall, working as a mentor for Avocademy provided a dynamic and rewarding environment for deepening my understanding of UX design, enhancing my skills, and contributing to the growth and development of aspiring designers.
